Holiday Ornaments

Once G hit toddler age, we started the tradition of making ornaments each year for the holidays. The kids make one for us, and then we usually send some off to the grandparents as well. I know I will cherish these "homemade" decorations for the tree when the kids are grown.

This year's ornament was a thumbprint ornament, which I saw on Meet the Dubiens blog. Jill has many versions posted so I let the kids look through them and pick which one they wanted to do. N went with the holiday penguin, G opted for Santa while K created Rudolph.

First we did thumbprints in the appropriate colors and let them dry.

Then the kids used paint and Sharpie markers to add the appropriate details to their thumbprints to turn them into penguins, Santas and Rudolph.

The final product turned out great!

You're building a tree full of memories! I love the thumbprint ornaments. They're so cute and will be great reminders of their childhood.

Change can lead to great things, especially when the result is calm and happiness. I wish you all the best for this new year!
