Basketball

I started to type "I tend to take a lot of pictures" and then realized that was almost laugh-out-loud funny. Anyone who sees me on a regular basis can attest that I do in fact take MANY pictures. No need to put "tend to" around it. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. It is a good thing because I can almost always find a photo on our computer for whatever the need - I want to blog about some random topic? I probably have a picture that fits the theme. The kids make an off-the-wall request (such as N wanting to know when Henry's birthday was...) well, let me check the computer because I can probably figure out when the stuffed animal first entered our lives. The bad? We are forever running out of space on our computer. My poor husband gets to deal with that.

And what exactly does any of that have to do with basketball? Well, mostly I'm spinning this tail to set you up for the fact that I apparently have no post-worthy photos of N's basketball season. Shocked? Yeah, so am I. To be clear, I get lazy with indoor sports photos. My "nice" camera is a pain to haul to weekly sporting events, but my small cheap camera does not take the greatest indoor action shots. I did manage to attend some of N's basketball games in November and December, despite my crazy work schedule. I even managed to take a few photos at one of the games. However, they were bad. Very bad. Out of focus, grainy, icky bad. Not even my usual photoshop solutions could save these photos. This is the only decent one, which was taken after the game was over.

So you will have to take my word for it that N played basketball and had a great season. My little point guard expanded beyond dribbling and passing the ball to his tall friend Grace (pretty much all he did last season) and even started making baskets on a fairly regular basis. Now, we did joke with the coach that he only has one move that he uses over and over and over again to get open for those shots, but his coach pointed out that you only need one move as long as it is effective. And for 2nd grade basketball, his one move appears to be working fine.
